Getting immunized with vaccines is a key step to preventing serious illnesses from disease. People over 65 years or who have compromised immune systems are at even greater risk of getting very sick. UPIHC has partnered with local health departments ( Salt Lake County Health Department, Davis County Health Department) and US Aging to provide immunization services to the community.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends scheduling routine well-child visits with a provider for developmental screenings and immunizations to ensure your child develops well and remains healthy.
We encourage you to talk to your healthcare professional to find out more about which immunizations are recommended for you.
Hundreds of millions of Americans have safely received seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccines. Flu and COVID-19 vaccines do not cause diseases.
Vaccines can have side effects, but most people experience only mild side effects—if any—after vaccination.
The most common side effects are fever, tiredness, body aches, redness, swelling, and tenderness where the shot was given.
Mild reactions usually go away on their own within a few days. Serious or long-lasting side effects are extremely rare, and vaccine safety is continually monitored.
